About The Owner 

Owner and operator Joe Chastain started his first order of tree business in the Martins Creek community at the age of 5 years old. Gathering bundles of sticks, he would organize them into separate piles and take them to school, where he had several regular customers (teachers) waiting to purchase his premium seasoned kindling. With a family history of Appalachian timber cutters going back several generations, his ingrained desire to cut trees and be in the woods while helping others has not waned as the years have progressed, but strengthened with time and experience. He began cutting trees and working in the timber industry at the age of 17, and would go on to become a full time "climber for one of the largest tree companies in the world. While the "production" centered initiative of his former employer was good for giving him experience and number of trees climbed, it did not fulfill the need that Joe had for helping others. In 2019 he left his full time job and started Chastain Tree Service LLC. Since then, the company has been continually growing in number of clients and satisfied customers, professional employees, pieces of equipment, and service area. Joe's love for helping and creating safe environments for customers in need, coupled with his love for doing cutting trees has been the life's blood of the success of this company.
